A grant is received through Bona Vista’s Early Head Start Program to develop a free parenting program for Early Head Start and Head Start families. This is the beginning of an education piece through EHS that grows to be a key part of EHS through the years. OBRA (Omni-Bus Reconciliation Act of 1987) is started at Bona Vista, which provides transportation for adults living in nursing homes to necessary services.
