Respite Care is a non-goal based service that gives primary care givers a break to complete activities that they need to, without having to worry about their loved one.

Respite care cannot be provided while the primary caregiver is at work.

It can be provided in the community or at the person’s home. A Caregiver for the Developmentally Disabled (CDD) can sit with the person served and watch movies, help with meal preparation, medication reminders, or take the individual into the community to participate in activities of the person’s choice.
