Miriam O’Malley-Long is the Regional Vice President, Programs and Services.

Since joining the Bona Vista team in 2014 as the Coordinator of Training and Development, Miriam carried leadership positions within Adult Day Services and WorkForce Diversity; she has been instrumental in growing programs at Bona Vista, educating the community on Medicaid Waiver services and leading staff to provide mission-driven services reflective of persons served goals and dreams.

Miriam’s passion for building leaders led to the creation of Bona Vista Leadership University, a management training program. She is proud to serve alongside a team of servant leaders and advocates. Miriam believes all individuals have the right and responsibility to be the best versions of themselves and with encouragement, independence, and inclusion are able to do so. Miriam’s held certification as a CPR/First Aid Instructor with the American Red Cross, and Crisis Prevention Instructor with the Crisis Prevention Institute. Miriam maintains certification with INARF (Indiana Association of Rehabilitation Facilities) as a Person-Centered Plan/Individualized Plan Facilitator and is certified by Indiana University as an Employment Specialist and Benefits Information Network Liaison.

Community involvement is important to Miriam and in recent years has served on the Board of Directors for Meals on Wheels Howard County, Planning Committee for Advocates for Livable Communities – Howard County Cycle, Fundraising Committee Member for Prevent Child Abuse Indiana, and a Mentor with Indiana University Kokomo School of Business Future Leaders Mentorship Program.

Miriam holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University.
