Children who have mild delays in one or more areas may benefit from developmental therapy rather than intensive specialized therapeutic intervention services. Developmental therapy is a specific and focused intervention designed to promote a child’s motor, cognitive, language, social, and emotional development as well as self-help skills.

Working with an IFSP (individualized family service plan), our therapists use strategies that promote the acquisition and integration of knowledge and skills across areas of development including motor, cognitive, language, socio-emotional, and self-help skills.

To enhance outcomes, our specialists also provide follow-through services. They may even intervene indirectly by providing families or early childhood educators with the information, skills and support they need to implement intervention plans.
